Dear WordPress,

For consecutive weeks, i’ve been handling with problems with feed updating. Sometimes i took 24hrs without having any feed update. I understand that i’m running a free service, and that you have plenty things to do. However, i’ve sent one e-mail explaining this situation, which for, i’ve rcvd the answer few minutes later. I confess that i was delighted with such prompt reply. The problem was solved. Although, next day, i was handling again with the same problem. This time, it took only about 1 or 2 hours.

Today, i’m waiting the feed update for 8 hrs already, i sent 2 e-mails requesting your help/assistance and no reply received, and i still not delivering my posts to no one.

So, my question is, is it possible to offer a feature to the wordpress.com users to reboot the feed in order to get the update manualy to avoid this kind of issues??? This way, we could do ourselfs the update, and wouldn’t need to wait for your action, freeing you to other more important things.

Brgds,

Your feed is updated every 10 minutes or so. Are you looking at the actual feed or are you using a service? I’m seeing your latest post (this one) in there fine.

Friendly reminder that there is a support forum as well. Bitching on your blog doesn’t do much good I’m afraid as few people will see it.

Oh, and it’s wordpress.COM. WordPress is a different beast. There is a difference.

    Hi,

My post was more like a throw of my problems with the feed, and asking for WordPress attention to this persistence problem, because due to that, i got less 800 visitors. And by the way, the feed i’m talking about is http://flashenabled.wordpress.com/feed, because the feedburner feed just updates through wordpress feeder. So, if the 1st one doesn’t update, that means the all the other will not be able to discover that there are new posts. Moreover you read my post at 11pm, if you see, i posted this open letter at 5:45pm. And it was the last post i’ve wrote today. But the problem wasn’t with this one, it was the previous posts that i wrote in the morning, and only at 8pm were being delivered trough the feed. In the end, i spent around 9 hours waiting to get my feed updated.
And this wasn’t the 1st time. I forgot already how many times my feed didn’t update. Sometimes almost for 24 hours. Isn’t incredible???

But i still like wordpress, and their staff. I just think that they could improve this feature, by giving to the blog author the possibility to update himself his blog feed each time that a problem occur.

    Brgds,
    CPinho

The thing is though if you’re looking at the feedburner, it may or may not be displaying the most recent feed. That’s why I was asking which one you were looking at. Your wp.com feed may have updated but feedburner may not have done so.

There’s also the matter of your ISP and if you’re behind some sort of cache as well.

It’s come up in the forums before and, when tested, that’s usually the issue. We’ll see an updated feed direct from wp.com while the poster isn’t for one reason or another.
