Petit wrote a nice Sandy 3d tutorial, that helps you to start programming with it. The tutorial is splited in 5 sections, and  really well explained. Remember, this tutorial is for AS3 version, and for the old one.You will build a Sandy world, move the camera around and study the basic transformations, that is possible with this exciting library and API. If you have an interest in 3D worlds and gaming, this may be something for you.

Part 1, Introduction
Part 2, Jump Start
Part 3, The Sandy Primitives, Planes, Hedra, Sphere, Line, Cylinder, Torus
Part 4, Transformations
Part 5, Materials, Bitmaps, Movie clips and video
