PaperVision 3D looks amazing – Flashmagazine

With Flash 9 came the speed to do simple 3D. Several started to create PV3Dtheir own 3D engine and PaperVision 3D is the project that shows most promise as of today. Check out these demos – they simply look amazing!

Some months ago, John Grden published a couple nice demos that really proved that real 3D in Flash was not a dream and what difference AS3 and the new AVM makes. For Grant Skinners recent presentation at FlashForward MacWorld, John put together a demo showing a 3D space battle with X-wings and Tie Fighters flying around in realtime. (He recently updated it so that you can control the X-wing yourself).

    I hope that Adobe expands Flash to natively support 3D even further.

    Everyone has Flash. That’s what makes 3D in Flash such a neat idea.

    This could change the face of the internet.
