Again, from the Quitly Scheming, another component. This time, an Interactive Calendar, Flex made. They have released also the source code. Would be glad to have more and more people releasing their projects source code, sharing it among all the web designer community. So everyone can learn and see what is behind the “curtain”.

Check and download it here.

Is there a reason why the calendar doesn’t work?? I get nothing!!

== Calendar view question==
I work in the ”’airline industry”’ and to balance pilot flying across the year we use non-standard ‘months’. For example, our month of February typically runs from 31 January to 1 March, inclusive (January is 1 Jan to 30 Jan). Is there a way to set the calendar/scheduler up this way?
I’m not a techie so if you could answer in layman’s terms I’d appreciate it. Any links I can point our technical folks at would be most appreciated. Thanks.

Hello,
I downloaded the source of the Interactive Calendar component, but after importing Flex is telling me it cannot open ‘C:\dev\qs\web\config\WEB-INF\flex\services-config.xml’.
I checked and actually the C:\dev\qs\web\config folder does not exist.
Am I doing anything wrong or is there anything missing in the downloaded project?
Please let me know, I’m very curious to start analisyng this very good component..
Thanks a lot in advance

Hi there,
I have downloaded the scheduler you’ve built and have got to say it’s very cool! As with most code that’s downloaded, it winds up getting picked apart and customized for a specific use so here goes. Rather than reading an ics file, I’d like to use a RemoteObject pull from a database to populate the calendar. Do you have an example of the format the data feeding the calendar would have to be in for it to work correctly or could you explain it. There’s a lot under the hood so to speak with parsing the file and unfortunately there’s not a lot of commenting within the code. Great job on the calendar though. Also…. I’m fairly new to Flex development so you may have to use small words..LOL
Thanks!

There is an updated version of Ely’s original code that supports Add/Delete events and looks to have fixed some of the font rendering issues in the original version.
