Hi. I wanted to drop you a fast note to express my thanks. Ive been following your blog for a month or so and have picked up a large amount of excellent information and enjoyed the way youve structured your site. I am making an attempt to run my very ownblog however I suppose its too general and I need to focus on additional smaller topics. Being all things to any or all individuals is not all that its cracked up to be.

Hi, Very nice tutorial, One thing I want to ask is that , Is their any way I can edit the textfield at runtime when a user select any of them. thanks in advance.

letter.mouseEnabled=false;

Place this inside the createLetterTile function and that will fix the issue with being able to drag the tile when the mouse is directly over the letter.

Hi! Great tutorial! It really gave me a good starting point for an application I am building.

However I’m now facing a problem I can’t figure out. You already mentioned it in your starting note, the fact that you can’t drag when you click on the textField itself. In AS2 this was no problem because the textField was “in” the movieClip and as the textField being a child of the Sprite “tile” you would expect the same behavior…

Would it possible to point me in the direction of the solution? This problem seems so simple that you would expect there to be an easy fix… I can’t find one, but I hope there is one!
