I know there are tons of passowrd keeper apps out there but I would like to build my own.. just to get a better understanding/feel for developing in AIR/Flex

Hi,

nice blog, think i'll be back

I am keen on Flex and I'm trying to write apps that integrate with Ruby on Rails. Perhaps I will be able to contribute an article myself one day.

Hey ekz,
I wanted to keep it as close to AS2 as possible, for the second part I'll change it a httpservice and also use binding with the filterfunction.

Thanks for the comment! :)

Good stuff.
Great seeing more and more AIR enablement in the community. One suggestion i'd make is using an httpservice pointing to the xml file (as opposed to a URLLoader). You have the result and fault events ready for you, and it's it's less code. Might also be easier for noobs to pick up.

Keep up with the posts, looking forward to the next one.
