I have just tried the FlashEff Premium version conceded by Raul from our  Jumpeye Components. And one word reflects what i think about it, AWESOME!!!

It is simple, easy and quick to setup different effects. Even better, you can apply the effects to text as also to objects.

The FlashEff comes with a Component inspector that let’s you customize your animation effects with simple clicks. Lots of patterns are available, so you just need inspiration to give your best shot.

The bad thing on this component is the price. I’m pretty sure that this is a high valuable component, but by setting the price starting from USD 99 (1 Month License) will restrict the access to many people. Anyway, the overall picture i got from FlashEff is positively impressive.

However you can always download the free version of FlashEff, and evaluate the potential of this great component.

I have to say.. that when I was first introduced to flash eff.. I thought it would be a good way to speed up my workflow.. but I can assure you now that it’s not a good option. the text effects depend highly on the font.. a lot of which don’t work at all.. or mess up your position. if you buy it for a month and ever want to update your site.. you have to buy it again. the effects aren’t event that good. it’s expensive.. it uses an outdated version of TweenMax. so you can’t use the new tweenmax in your project unless you update flash eff as well.. hence.. pay them again… it’s garbage.. save yourself the trouble.

I have tried it for a month and found it causes flash to crash constantly.

looking on their forums it seems this has been an issue since at least december last year and
they still do nothing but say ‘tell adobe it’s a bug’

it’s really quite frustrating to have something with so much potential
not quite able to work, with a huge lack of proper support.

    Bleh
